The main cost associated with the energy supplied to your home is the cost of getting it there. Whether it is electric transmission lines, gas lines or oil pipelines, the expense is high. With a Geothermal system, you control the means of producing and delivering energy so you don’t fall prey to market fluctuations or large infrastructure costs. Two thirds of the energy used by Geothermal systems comes from renewable heat inside the ground. The remaining third comes from electricity used to power the geothermal system. This means you only pay for the electricity used to power the system.

Geothermal systems are three times more efficient than traditional heating such as baseboards or furnaces. There are also government grants available to offset the costs of installing geothermal units.
